Vocal

Voice Lessons – Willson Vocal Academy

1 hr per week / 45 weeks per year, 7 years

  • Sing multiple different voice parts including soprano and alto
  • Improve vocal range by doing exercises 
  • Work on sight reading music
  • Perform in recitals doing solos or group pieces

Vocal Bootcamp – Willson Vocal Academy

6 hrs per week / 2 weeks per year, 4 years

  • Sing pieces outside comfort zone 
  • Work together with small ensembles to create believable on-stage chemistry
  • Practice movement and dance on stage
  • Built up vocal and physical strength
  • Performed solos and small ensemble numbers with minimal prep time

St. John Neumann Parish Choir – St. John Neumann Parish

2 hrs per week / 15 weeks per year, 12 years

  • Sing alto and solo for 65 person choir of all ages
  • Work with fellow choir members on music outside of practice
  • Perform in a Christmas concert 
  • Participate in select groups within the choir to perform

Camarata – Conestoga High School

3 hrs per week / 40 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Sing soprano in a select choir of 40 people
  • Audition to be able to participate
  • Work together with others to practice harmonies
  • Study challenging music selections
  • Perform in multiple concerts as well as pep rallies and other events 

Concert Choir – Conestoga High School

2 Hrs per week / 40 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Sing soprano in a choir composed of high school aged people
  • Work with voice part to go over songs
  • Incorporate physicality into vocalization to better understand
  • Perform in concerts twice a year

Chorale – Conestoga High School

1 hr per week / 40 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Sing soprano for a select choir
  • Selected from a large pool of students to be in a more advanced choir
  • Work together with others from each voice part to learn harmonies
  • Learn pieces at a fast pace with more accuracy

Cantata – Conestoga High School 

3 hrs per week / 40 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Sing soprano and solo for a soprano/alto choir
  • Study a multitude of varieties of music 
  • Improve sigh singing and music reading
  • Listen to others to help improve tone and blend

Theatre

Wolf PAC Mainstage Productions – Wolf Performing Arts Center

5 hrs per week / 40 weeks per year, 6 years

  • Perform in shows such as Pippin, Peter and the Starcatcher, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Fiddler on the Roof, Much Ado About Nothing, SpongeBob SquarePants the Musical, Godspell, Alice in Wonderland, and Urinetown with leading roles, solos, and solo lines
  • Audition in front of a panel of judges to be selected
  • Work together with fellow castmates to create an ensemble
  • Learned lines, songs, choreography, and blocking
  • Attended rehearsals every day during tech week
  • Helped to build sets and organize props

SLTD Mainstage – Spring Lake Theatre and Dance Company

20 hrs per week / 5 weeks per year, 4 years

  • Performed in supporting and ensemble roles including High School Musical, Seussical, and Aladdin
  • Auditioned in front of multiple judges and other auditionees
  • Reviewed choreography and harmonies
  • Attended rehearsals every night and did multiple weekends of performances

Spring Musical – Conestoga High School

12 hrs per week / 10 weeks per year, 4 years

  • Performed in supporting and featured roles in shows such as Anastasia, She Loves Me, Little Mermaid, as well as a musical medley 
  • Selected from the student body after auditioning for the directors
  • Remembered choreography and music
  • Worked with small ensembles 
  • Attended rehearsals every day 
  • Sang with small groups to create harmonies 

Fall Play – Conestoga High School

10 hrs per week / 8 weeks per year, 1 year

  • Selected as a lead after auditioning for the directors
  • Memorized and recited extensive lines
  • Attended rehearsals every day 

Volunteer

Youth Theater Workshop Assistant – Wolf Performing Arts Center 

1 hr per week / 12 weeks per year, 1 year

  • Lead groups of children aged 6-8 in theater activities
  • Watched the students and made sure they were on task
  • Acted by example when the students were not listening
  • Helped to get everyone where they needed to be on time

Art Teacher’s Assistant – Conestoga High School

5 hr per week / 40 weeks per year, 1 year

  • Work with high school art teacher to assist with classroom responsibilities
  • Helped organize and lead a class of first-year students through their art curriculum
  • Organize art projects and classroom for the teacher
  • Assist substitute teachers with keeping class on track and maintaining consistency

Girl Scouts – Troop 4205

3 hr per week / 45 weeks per year, 12 years

  • Led meetings
  • Participated in community service, such as food bank donations and organization, volunteer at local animal shelter and rehabilitating bird sanctuary
  • Camping, hiking, geo caching, fishing and other outdoor activities

Academics

Tri-M Music Honors Society 

5 hr per week / 35 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Selected to join prestigious group of musicians for demonstrating a love and aptitude for the craft as well as academic excellence
  • Auditioned in front of an audience of fellow students
  • Served the community by bringing music to where it is needed
  • Complete 100 hours of community service annually

National Art Honors Society 

8 hr per week / 35 weeks per year, 2 years

  • Selected to join prestigious group of artists for demonstrating a love and aptitude for the craft as well as academic excellence
  • Submitted a portfolio for review and acceptance
  • Complete 180 hours of community service annually

  • Assist choir director in leading singers through vocals

National Anthem – Devon Horse Show
